Kilkee Photo Competition 24

 

The Kilkee Chamber of Commerce is hosting a photo competition this summer. Grab your cameras or phones, and start capturing those magical Kilkee moments!

Exciting prizes are up for grabs, courtesy of Kilkee Chamber Businesses.

THE THEME: for your photo competition is:

                                       “WHAT KILKEE MEANS TO ME”

Send in one photo that captures what Kilkee means to you! Get creative and say it with one image, it might be your favorite view or an activity, maybe a secret place, but it must be taken in Kilkee and tell the judges a simple story about the meaning of Kilkee for you.

THE CLOSING DATE:  August 10th at 12.00 p.m.

The Prizes.

The Judges

Our judging panel are all closely connected with Kilkee and has a mix of professional and creative expertise plus local knowledge.

Kim Thittichai -  is an international tutor, textile artist and the author of 4 books on experimental textile processes. Kim also enjoys photographing the local sea and landscapes around her home on Loophead, using the local scenery as inspiration for her creative work.

Cillian Murphy -  Cillian is co-founder and Chairman of Loop Head Together. A local resident and former business owner in Kilkee. 

Annabel McMahon - is a textile and garment designer turned entrepreneur who uses her business experience and creativity to support local businesses with their digital development. A resident on Loophead now, Annabel creates the content for Kilkee.ie official website and Instagram.

Frank Cosgrove -  Growing up in Kilkee, Frank was inspired by the unique beauty of Loophead to become a professional photographer. He work has taken him around the world to work on many exciting projects.  

He is known for his unique ability to get an image from another angle using boats, drones, or a 360-degree camera. Adding a different perspective to his work and our competition.

How to Enter:

Please use the subject line "Photo Contest Entry" when sending your email.

Photo Quality:

Ensure that your photos are of good quality and resolution. Avoid blurry or pixelated images.

File Format:

Please submit your photos in JPEG or PNG format.

File Size:

Keep the file size of each photo reasonable, preferably under 10MB, to ensure smooth email delivery.

Naming Convention:

Rename your photo files with your name and a brief description of the image. For example, "JohnSmith_LandscapeSunset.jpg".

Number of Entries:

You may submit ONE photo per entrant.

Include Information:

In the body of your email, please include your full name, phone number, and a brief description of your photo and what it means to you.

Deadline:

The deadline for submissions is [insert deadline date]. Entries received after this date will not be considered.

Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email when submitting your entry. If you don't receive a confirmation, please reach out to us.

Terms and Conditions

 

  • The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.

  • Violators will be removed from the contest, stripped of any prize(s), and banned from entering future contests.

  • Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.

  • Entries will be judged by the Kilkee Chamber of Commerce. All decisions are final. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.

  • By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the Kilkee Chamber of Commerce for promotional purposes.

  • Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.

  • The prize must be collected by the winner and is nontransferable.

  • The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry.

  • The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
